Bao Phi

Bao Phi was born in Vietnam and raised in the Phillips neighborhood of South Minneapolis. A longtime performance poet and community worker, he is a consecutive Minnesota Poetry Grand Slam Champ and a National Poetry Slam finalist, he has performed and taught workshops for schools, colleges, universities, juvenile detention centers, social justice organizations, and community groups around the country, and has been a featured artist across the nation from the Nuyorican Poets Cafe to HBO Presents Russell Simmons Def Poetry Jam to Stanford. He currently works at the Loft, a non-profit literary arts organization, and continues to perform across the nation.
